18 Months Diploma Course

FIRST SEMESTER

COURSE DURATION: 12 MONTHS
CLASS: MAXIMUM 3 DAYS IN A WEEK (THEORY: 1: 30 HRS. &
PRACTICAL : 3 :30 HRS)

  • Introduction to Film making. (Part of Elements of Cinematography)
  • Film language & Vocabulary. (Part of Elements of Cinematography)
  • Elements of Cinematography.
  • Basic Principal on Camera operating. (Practical)
  • Project Film Shooting
  • Theory of light (Basic).
  • Basic lighting (Practical).
  • Shooting practical.

SECOND SEMESTER

SUBJECT :

  • Camera theory (Advanced)
  • Know about digital technology.
  • Film verses Digital.
  • Cinema session.
  • Theory of light (Advanced)
  • Project Film Shooting.
  • Work with your Director (Shooting practical on various moment / scene).

THIRD SEMESTER

SUBJECT :

  • Psychology of Lens.
  • Psychology of color.
  • Cinema Session.
  • Outdoor shooting practical with various Gadget.
  • Technique of Song Picturization (Practical)
  • Various Gadget operating (Monthly 4 classes).
  • Project Film Shooting.
  • Diploma Film making (5 to 10 minutes duration)

DIGITAL CINEMATOGRAPHY (FULL TIME PROFESSIONAL)

18 Months Diploma Course +6 Months Internship With Pay

FIRST SEMESTER

Class

5 days in a week. (Maximum)

Duration of Classes :

Theory – 1:30 hours per day.

Practical – 3:30 hours.

Subject :

(A) Theory Paper

  • Introduction to Film Making / Film language,Vocabulary and Directorial Practice.
  • Elements of Screen Play writing.
  • Elements of Cinematography.
  • Elements of Editing.

(B) PRACTICAL CLASS

  • Shooting Practical on Developing a Moment or a Techniques of a scene capture method.
  • Digital Camera operation (Basic Camera operation indoor based)
  • Digital film editing (Editing Techniques & basic knowledge of Editing)

(C) PROJECT FILM:

  • Non-Talky ( Duration 5 to 7 minutes only)
  • Talky Film (Duration 5 to 7 minutes only)

SECOND SEMESTER

Subject :

(A) THEORY PAPER

  • Script writing techniques (Advanced).
  • Advanced theory of Editing. ( Developing the film language through process of Editing )
  • Advanced theory of Camera. ( Developing the film language through camera placement and operation/use of lenses/lights )

(B) PRACTICAL CLASSES – (Maximum 4 hours a day)

  • One day indoor shooting of a small scene.
  • One day outdoor shooting of a small scene.
  • Two days editing with practical rushes. (4 hours Maximum)

(C) PROJECT FILM

  • Talky Film (Duration 5 to 7 minutes only)

THIRD SEMESTER

Class

5 days in a week. (Maximum)

Duration of Classes :

Theory – 1:30 hours per day (Maximum 5 days in a week)

Practical – 3:30 hours (Maximum 3 days in a week)

Cinema session - One day in a month.

Subject

(A) Theory Paper (2 hours Maximum)

  • Techniques of Non Fiction Film Making & involvement of crew like cameraman & Editor with Director (combine class).
  • Lens / Light & color psychology
  • Special screening & Analysis class on camera operation / Composition & framing

(B) Practical Class (Maximum 4 hours a day)

  • One to five minutes duration project film making.
  • Practical on song picturization Process. (shooting practical)
  • Camera operation with cranes, trolley, slider, gimble, Steadicam etc. (2 hours)
  • Personal lighting (2 hours) ae
  • Work as a camera man of a Diploma Project Film, Duration 25 minutes (maximum).

FACILITIES FOR FULL TIME COURSE ONLY...

Last six months free internship in our production with pay. Each & every students of full time digital Film Making department will get facilities to learn & work with full profession equipment & studio system. Each & every students of full time courses will get a stipend for their work. After completion of the internship, every students will get professional certificate by 'Impression'(An Audio Visual Research Unit).

PROFESSIONAL CAMERA OPERATION

(6 MONTHS DIPLOMA COURSE)

Class : 2 days in a week.(Maximum)
Duration classes – 3 hours.

Practical class : (Outdoor & indoor based)

1. Advanced crane operation

2. Advanced trolley operation

3. Advanced slider operation

4. Advanced gimble operation

5. Advanced Steadicam operation
